Veneers Finished by Hand

Veneer cases leave little room for error. A few tenths of a millimeter changes how light passes through the ceramic, and a small shift in shade or texture shows next to natural teeth. Our ceramists build, stain, and finish each veneer by hand, then check it on the model against the photos you send.

Choosing a Veneer Material

Feldspathic porcelain gives the most lifelike translucency in thin layers. Pressed or milled e.max is stronger and suits cases with more reduction or a darker tooth underneath. No-prep veneers work when teeth are small or retruded and there is room to add. See how we match material to the case.

How We Handle Your Veneer Case

1

Send Your Case

Ship impressions or upload scans, with full-face and retracted photos.

2

Smile Design

A wax-up or digital design is approved before preparation or fabrication.

3

Build and Finish

Layered or pressed, then stained, textured, and glazed by hand.

4

Delivery

Shipped on the model with try-in and bonding notes.

Shade and Substrate

The color of the prepared tooth shows through a thin veneer. Send the stump shade along with photos, shade tab in frame and flash off. If the substrate is dark, we will suggest a material or thickness that masks it and talk with you before we build. The clinical call stays with the prescribing dentist.

Surface Texture and Character

Natural teeth are not perfectly smooth. We match the surface texture and incisal translucency of the neighboring teeth, or follow reference photos of the look your patient wants. A veneer that matches in shade but not in texture still looks like a restoration.

Bonding Planned at the Bench

Each case ships with notes on surface treatment and try-in paste selection, referencing the manufacturer's instructions. If questions come up, the ceramist who made the veneers is a phone call away.

Case Selection

Matching the Veneer to the Case

Thin preps on light teeth are ideal for feldspathic porcelain. Darker teeth, existing restorations, or patients who grind usually do better in e.max. No-prep veneers are only possible when there is room to add without making teeth look bulky. If the case and the Rx don't line up, we call before we build.

What to include on the Rx

  • ✓Teeth to be treated and material
  • ✓Target shade and stump shade
  • ✓Full-face and retracted photos with shade tab
  • ✓Approved wax-up or mockup, if one was done
  • ✓Seat date, so we can schedule production

Frequently Asked Questions

Feldspathic and e.max veneers can be made very thin when the tooth underneath is light and space allows. The minimum depends on the material and how much color the veneer has to hide, so send photos and the stump shade and we will tell you what is realistic.

Yes, on request. A wax-up or digital design lets the patient preview the result and gives you a guide for reduction. It is the simplest way to avoid surprises on seat day.

Lab-fabricated veneers are coded by material under the restorative section of the current ADA code set. Your billing team makes the final code selection, and every delivery includes the material documentation needed for your records.

Veneers are bonded with a light-cure resin cement after the correct ceramic and tooth surface treatment. Each case ships with notes for the specific material used.
